In this episode we spend time with Max Goossens who is currently serving students with Young Life in western Loudoun County, Virginia. Max and his wife Rachel have recently accepted God's call to move "across the pond" to Surrey, England to serve as an Area Director for Young Life and to extend their ministry globally! Max shares the impact the ministry of Young Life had on his life and his Salvation Story! Hear how he and Rachel plan to serve God in England and how they are trusting God to provide their every need during every step of this Journey!
What we will be doing
Rachel and I are so excited to let you know that we are headed to England! After serving on Young Life staff in Western Loudoun for the past three and a half years, we have felt the Lord calling us to a new place. This past summer we decided to start applying for a new position in Europe, and Surrey, England came up. With family in England and having spent extensive time overseas, we have seen the need for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the area and saw this as a perfect fit.

After an extensive interview process, I was offered a job as the Area Director in Surrey overseeing and starting new ministries at multiple international schools in the area. We are so sad to be leaving the community that we have built here in Western Loudoun, but we are excited for what the Lord has next for us.

We will be living about 45 minutes west of London, right below Windsor Castle. Our plan is to move this summer and jump right into things when we get there. Ministry has been happening in Surrey for the last 20 years, and they are excited to hand off the baton to a new staff person. They have an active WyldLife ministry and are looking to restart their Young Life ministries after a difficult global pandemic.
